Greetings and Assalamualaikum

9 Practical Step during Difficulties. Yes, the life in this world is a transient shield. Satu Persinggahan. And no exception to us, human when it comes to problems and difficulties. Here are 9 practical step to help you face any difficult situation. Wishing for a calm mind and ease heart to all of you.

1. Salah/Solat
Make sure you stick to praying on time - 5 times a day. Never miss a Salah and do your best to pray each Salah with sincerity as if it's your last Salah in this world.

2. Reciting Quran
This Quran is so beautiful that no matter what difficulties you face you'll find solace in it. Especially reading Surat Yusuf. Scholars say that no one is faced with hardship and reads surat Yusuf except he finds sweetness and calm.

3. Make Dua
Allah will listen to every dua we make. Have faith and trust Him. You can read the dua especially for removing anxiety.

Supplication / Dua To Help Remove Stress, Worry & Anxiety

‘O Allaah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant, my forelock is in Your hand, Your command over me is forever executed and Your decree over me is just. I ask You by every name belonging to You which You name Yourself with, or revealed in Your Book, or You taught to any of Your creation, or You have preserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Qur’aan the life of my heart and the light of my breast, and a departure for my sorrow and a release for my anxiety.’ [Musnad Imam Ahmad 1/391. Shaikh al-Albaani graded it authentic (Saheeh) in al-Kalimtul-Tayyib]

Oh Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, weakness and laziness, miserliness and cowardice, the burden of debts and from being over powered by men. [Sahih al-Bukhari 7:158, Al-Asqalani - Fath al-Bari 11:173]

These two Supplication are found in the abridged version of the famous book "Fotress of The Muslim" page 140-142

4. Give Sadaqah
Give lots of charity, as much as you can, because it helps push away hardship. And if you can't give money, even kind words or physical sadaqah can do (i.e helping people physically or emotionally).

5. Wake Up Early
Wake up before fajr and work on your ideas and projects, or simply read Quran. Getting busy before day break is a definite way to move away from hardship and overcome challenges. Get most of your ideas/work done in these early hours, there are blessed hours.

6. Set Goals and Have Vision
Don't let shaytaan play with you and keep replaying the video of your hardship in your mind over and over again, move on! Set new goals, new project, and remember you're with Allah, nothing should stop you.

7. Hardship is Not Lost
Remember Allah will never forget the injustice/hardship you faced, so don't worry about seeking revenge or trying to get justice. “Allah does not burden any human being with more than he can bear.."

8. Reading Self-help Book
Anything that will help ease our mind can be a help. Reading a self-help book for example Reclaim Your Heart by Yasmin Mogahed or the bulk of e-book by Harun Yahya. You will find something in return and perhaps with the reading (concentrating), you can distract your mind about the problem for a while.

9. An ear to Listen to Your Problem

Indeed, Allah listen to your Dua anytime. If you need someone to listen to you, just give it a go. Spill to someone you trust, someone who close enough to share all your problem, someone who can give positive advice. Sometime, a good-listener-friend can be a help to let out all the 'messing' the in your heart.

In the end, I pray that Allah (Subhanahu Wa’Tala) removes all your ordeals and hardships, blesses you all with a good life and helps you remember Him day and night, for “Verily, with remembrance of Allah, do hearts find rest”. (Surah Ar-Ra’d , verse 28)
